Rocky Hill, CT- Saint Joseph College Head Coach and Academica Futebol Club Managing Partner Chris LeGates has been named assistant coach of the New England Mutiny of the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) Elite League. LeGates returns to the Mutiny after a three year hiatus. LeGates had been an original member of the Mutiny coaching staff going back to their inaugural season in 2002. "This is an amazing opportunity to work with some of the best players in the country. To have been with the Mutiny since our first game in 2002 and to now see us competing in the highest level of play in the USA is something that I think is very important and a testament to Joe Ferrara's (Mutiny owner) vision. I have had some of the best moments of my professional career as part of the Mutiny organization and when the chance came to come back and be part of this with Joe, Tony Horta, Roy Gurnon and the great staff and players of the Mutiny, I could not say no".
The Mutiny open their season on Saturday May 12 at 7:00 p.m. when they take on the New York Fury at East Longmeadow High School. For more information go to
